Kain Knight triumphs at the Harlow & District Business Awards 2003
Kain Knight was presented with two honours at a glittering gala ceremony to celebrate the Harlow & District Business Awards 2003 at Down Hall Hotel in Hatfield Heath recently when we were announced winners in the prestigious Business of the Year and Sales and Marketing categories.
The Awards, now in their third year, are promoted and run by the Harlow & District Chamber of Commerce with support from Hertfordshire & Essex Newspapers and Bishop’s Stortford Chamber of Commerce. Designed to recognise and reward the best of local firms they attracted a record number of entries this year from companies of all types.
The Business of the Year award was judged and presented by leading Chartered Accountants Baker Tilly who commented that Kain Knight is "the leader in their profession with a clear focus on the future." Chairman Michael Kain said: "One always hopes that the right decisions are made so for an outside professional organisation to review those decisions and give you a pat on the back gives encouragement and drive for the future."
The Sales & Marketing Award was presented by Pitney Bowes - the UKs leading supplier of mail and document management solutions. Director Mike Priestley commented: "Good marketing is about improving results, Kain Knight took good results and made them better."
Marketing Manager Yvonne Coombes added: “We have worked hard to deliver a marketing and sales strategy that will keep Kain Knight at the forefront of our industry so we are understandably delighted to have received such a tremendous accolade for our achievements.”
The Awards ceremony was hosted by Martin Bell OBE, formerly BBC War Correspondent and currently UNICEF UK Special Representative for Humanitarian Emergencies. First class entertainment from R&B band Mama Said, the world’s number one Michael Jackson impersonator – “Navi”, and classic soul singer Jaki Graham, brought the evening to a fantastic conclusion.
