Wednesday 24th May 2006 Kain Knight celebrates 30 successful years in business
Kain Knight kicked off a year of festivities for its 30th year in business by taking almost 60 of its staff to Venice for a celebratory meal at the end of April.
Founded in 1976 above a sweet shop in Bishop's Stortford, Kain Knight has grown to become a multi-million pound business and undoubtedly the UK's premier firm of law costs draftsmen with offices in Kent, London, Hertfordshire and Staffordshire.
Founding partners Michael Kain and Jim Knight between them have trained dozens of draftsmen over the years - many of whom have gone on to train hundreds of others. Indeed, many of the individuals involved in law costs today can trace their roots back to Kain Knight.
From humble beginnings, then, the company has become one of the most successful businesses in the Bishop's Stortford area - an achievement perhaps best recognised in 2004 when the firm won three prestigious business awards including business of the year - and one of the largest firms of law costs specialists in the country.
The Venice trip was attended by 58 company directors and employees who enjoyed private gondola rides followed by a wonderful 5 course meal at one of the city’s most famous restaurants – the Antico Martini at San Marco. Staff then spent the afternoon exploring the city before returning to the UK.
A whole series of exciting events, prize draws and promotions is being planned for 2006 to celebrate the company's 30th year delivering professional law costs services - including a World Cup party with clients to watch England v Trinidad & Tobago on 15th June and a celebratory reception with clients and associates in London this September to formally mark the month the firm was first founded.
