Michael Kain - Chairman

Michael founded M B Kain & Co in 1976 and has been a driving force behind the development of the Kain Knight business ever since.

Michael’s expertise covers just about all areas of law costs. He is a Costs Lawyer and Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen (ALCD) and is often called upon to appear in Court as an expert witness on costs matters. Michael has been involved with the Bloody Sunday Inquiry and many other high profile cases including Sidex v. Mittel, Harrington v. Wakeling and RAM Media Ltd.

Married to Jackie with two children who are also part of the Kain Knight organisation, Michael enjoys music, football and going to the gym. He is a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC. Michael is an accomplished guitarist and he has recently been appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
