Gary Knight -
Gary joined Kain Knight, then known as M.B.Kain & Co. in 1983.
Gary has a long standing interest in the training and development of Draftsmen within the firm and maintains strong links with the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen (ALCD).
A Fellow of the ALCD since 1994 Gary was amongst the first group of Costs Draftsmen in England and Wales to attain the status of Fellow Advocate (FALCD [Adv.]) and has therefore rights of audience at court and has the right to conduct costs litigation.
Gary has dealt with practically every area of costs over the years, including the provision of advice and points of dispute in large clinical negligence cases. One of Gary's most notable cases was the high profile Hepatitis-C class action as well as being involved with complex cost cases involving trade mark disputes and media disputes including assistance provided in Ok Magazine –v- Hello Magazine, a matter involving costs of the High Court, Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
Any spare time is split between following West Ham United and Saracens Rugby as well as (so far unsuccessful) attempts to reduce his golf handicap.
