John Staab - Director
John’s career progressed through five years at Solicitors Kennedys whereafter he joined Kain Knight as a Costs Draftsman in November 1987. John became a Director of Kain Knight in 1999,
John is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsman, and an accredited training provider and a former ALCD Council member. He conducts regular in-house costs updates for his London clients.
Benefitting from a strong legal background, John soon progressed onto High Court and County Court matters and he now specialises in complex and high value work for City and West End London Law Firms. John has acted in many recent high profile matters namely:-
“Beverley Charman -v- John Charman”.
“George Galloway -v- Telegraph”.
“Withers -v- Mastercigars”.
“Mike Hollingsworth -v- Associated Newspapers”.
John regularly attends Detailed Assessments. At a recent costs seminar his advocacy was described by one of the Costs Judges as, “amongst the best he had ever heard”.
