John Ivory - Director

John left the University of Leicester and joined Kain Knight in early 1995. He became a Director of the firm in April 2006 and is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen.

He has previously prepared large scale audits for commercial clients and has acted as an expert witness in the RSA First Assist Test litigation, as well as having represented the Defendants in the TAG litigation (both insurance premium challenges). John is also an experienced advocate for Claimants and Defendants and attends seminars for any interested clients to discuss various “hot” costs topics of the day.

John is married with two children, Max and Tamsin. Any spare time is spent playing football, watching Spurs and trying to play golf. He also enjoys swimming and ski-ing, depending on the season.
