Matthew Kain - Director

Matthew joined Kain Knight in 1997 and was appointed a Director in 2005.

Initially Matthew joined the Group as a trainee Law Costs Draftsman predominantly dealing with legally aided matters. To broaden his experience, he moved into insurance backed litigation and, in particular, claims for Solicitors’ professional negligence.

Following the introduction of Conditional Fee Agreements, Matthew has spent a great deal of time preparing and opposing Bills in respect of high value personal injury claims. His work has also entails advising clients on costs following Group Litigation Orders and Employment Tribunals.

In 2008 Matthew became a Costs Lawyer and more recently he has been involved in all aspects of large commercial cases.

Married to Natalie, they have a daughter, Olivia. Matthew enjoys playing football and following Tottenham Hotspur. Depending on the season, he also enjoys wakeboarding and snowboarding.
