Chris Butler - Director

Chris joined Kain Knight in April 2003 and has over 19 years experience in dealing with all types of costs related matters. Chris has been a Fellow of the ALCD since 2001 and became a Costs Lawyer in May 2008.

During his 19 years of experience Chris has been involved in the preparation and opposition of all types of Bills of Costs most particularly before the various divisions of the High Court.

During the past 4 years Chris has specialised in the provision of advice, Points of Dispute and advocacy services in connection with a number of significant clinical negligence claims. He has recently been involved in a commercial arbitration dispute where costs exceeded in excess of £6 million pounds.

Chris has a particular specialism in the preparation and opposition of costs in Group Litigation matters which by its very nature requires concise co-ordination.

As a Company we regularly provide inhouse costs seminars to our clients and Chris is a regular speaker for us.

Chris is married to Amy and has three young children, who take up most of his spare time. Chris enjoys watching and playing most sports, in particular golf and football and is a keen Leicester City supporter.
